Day 1- Renewing your Mind with Scripture

A 5-Day Devotional
by Karen Zamora
(ESV Translation throughout)

Who does God say I AM?

Main Scripture

Ephesians 2:10 (ESV)
“For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.”

Teaching

From the beginning, the enemy has always attacked identity. In Genesis 3, he lied to convince humanity that they were something less than who God said they were. But Jesus came to restore identity — to make us new creations who carry God’s image again (2 Cor. 5:17).

The moment you said yes to Jesus, your identity changed. You became God’s masterpiece — fully loved, fully wanted, fully designed with purpose.

Your identity isn’t something you go find — it’s something God reveals through Jesus. Every time you read Scripture, you are looking into a mirror that reflects who Heaven says you are. The Holy Spirit now speaks inside you to confirm that identity daily (Rom. 8:16). You are not trying to become someone … you are learning to agree with who God already made you to be.

Additional Scriptures

Psalm 139:13–14 (ESV)
“For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made.”

Isaiah 43:1 (ESV)
“Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name, you are mine.”
